The river flows through a small canyon that leads to the oasis as well as to the sea off to the west of the desert. Along the shore of the river, and close to the City, is suitable farmland to grow crops in the heat as well as raise domesticated animals for such farm work.
  
In the oasis this City is home to the desert dwellers. The species residing here take much care to keeping their water source clean and available for all who come there from the harsh desert.
